The Great Attitude

Long ago there lived a man who carried water down a long path from the well to his house. He used two pots one on each shoulder…now the pot he carried on his left shoulder had a crack in it and when he got to the house he would empty the first pot that was brim full and the second pot which was only half full. This went on for months and one day the pot with a crack in it said to the carrier. “I am sorry for being a burden to you and I know that I am only doing half my job.” “Oh no” said the water carrier, “I must indeed thank you…for I knew of your flaw and if you look back along the path that I travel you will see on the left side bright flowers and on the other none. You see when I realized you had a crack I planted seeds along the left side of the path and every day you watered those seeds and today they are beautiful flower…Thank You”

Audience Manners

1. Sit quietly and without fidgeting. Do not talk during the performance/movie.

2. Sit up straight in your chair so the people behind you can see too.

3. Turn off your cell phone, beeper, and alarm watch.

4. Laugh when it is appropriate.

5. Do not heckle. People are not there to be entertained by you.

6. Clap when the presenter/performance/movie is finished whether or not you enjoyed it.

7. Unwrap all candy and open all snack bags before the curtain goes up.

8. Do not leave before the end of the performance/show unless it is an emergency.

9. Don’t leave your wrappers, tissues, pop cup or other garbage behind. Throw it away.

10. Inappropriate outbursts during a show are unwanted. Laugh when you are supposed to laugh and scream when you are supposed to scream. Don’t ruin the experience for other people.
